“We often ate this chicken growing up. It just takes a little time and a big skillet.”
Ingredients
- ½ cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 4 boneless-skinless chicken breasts

- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- ¾ cup boiling water
- 3 tablespoons firmly packed light brown Crystal Sugar
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
Instructions
- In bag, combine flour, salt and paprika. Brush chicken breasts with lemon juice. Add chicken pieces one at a time to bag and shake well.
- In large skillet, brown chicken in hot oil. Dissolve bouillon cube in ¾ cup boiling water; slowly pour over chicken in skillet. Stir in brown sugar, lemon peel and any remaining lemon juice.
- Cover and reduce heat. Cook chicken over low heat until tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
