Sweet and sour chicken on white rice

Sweet ‘N’ Sour Chicken

“This is one of my ‘go to’ meals whenever we have a few dinner guests. Everybody loves this chicken!” 


1 3-pound chicken, cut up
1 cup granulated CRYSTAL SUGAR® 
1 cup ketchup
½ cup white vinegar or wine
1½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon parsley flakes


  1. Place chicken in 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients and heat until bubbly. Pour over chicken.
  3. Bake at 325°F for 1½ to 2 hours.
  4. Turn and baste chicken during baking.

Yield: 6–8 servings.
